Day 1 Hong Kong ¡V Guilin (Meal: at your own cost)
Take a flight from Hong Kong to Guilin in the evening. Transfer to the
hotel upon arrival.
Day 2 Guilin (Meal: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
After breakfast, spend the day on an idyllic cruise, sailing down the
Li River to the breathtaking village of Yangshuo.
Lunch is provided on board. Yangshuo is a beautiful and sedate ancient
Chinese city famous for its rich produce including sweet oranges, tangerines,
pomelos, persimmons, chestnuts and kumquats. Before leaving for Guilin,
explore a local market overflowing with traditional Chinese gifts such
as porcelain, silk and jade. Dinner consists of wonderful local cuisine;
followed by a traditional dance show, starring richly costumed Chinese
actors.
Day 3 Guilin ¡V Beijing (Meal: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
After breakfast, embark on a tour to the lovely Reed Flute Cave
and Elephant Trunk Hill. The Reed Flute Cave
is an enchanting water-eroded cave housing a spectacular world of impressive
stalactites stone pillars and rock formations created by carbonate deposition.
Situated majestically on the western bank of Li River, the Elephant
Trunk Hill contains a large natural arch resembling the trunk
of an Elephant dipping into the river and is a landmark of the Guilin
landscape. Fly to Beijing in the afternoon. On arrival, transfer you to
hotel and enjoy your free time at leisure in the evening.
Day 4 Beijing (Meal: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
After breakfast, gear up for a day visiting the breathtaking Great
Wall, regarded as the 7th Wonder of the World. A massive project
in ancient history, taking over 2,000 years to build it is the longest
human-made architectural structure in the world. After visiting the magnificent
miracle created by the Chinese people, visit Summer Palace,
which is the most famous regal garden in China. This supreme garden was
once a summer resort for Chinese Emperors, and was built early in the
1750s. It is praised as one of the most impressive museum gardens in China.
After dinner, enjoy an exciting Chinese Kung Fu show or acrobatic show.
Day 5 Beijing (Meal: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
In the morning, explore the capital's famous Hutong (alleys
formed by lines of traditional courtyard residences) district on board
an old fashioned pedicab. Then visit the Forbidden City,
the most magnificent treasure-filled Imperial Palace in China located
in the middle of Beijing and now housing the Palace Museum. For almost
five centuries, it served as the home of the Emperor and his household,
and was the ceremonial and political centre of Chinese government. Then
visit the infamous Tian An Men Square, the large plaza
near the center of Beijing. For dinner, enjoy Peking duck
in a famous local restaurant.
Day 6 Beijing ¡V Xi'an (Meal: Breakfast / Lunch)
After breakfast, visit the celebrated Temple of Heaven
constructed in 1420 during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and enlarged in
the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), a complex of Taoist buildings, visited by
the Emperors of the Ming and Qing Dynasties for annual ceremonies of prayer
to Heaven for rich harvest. If time permits, a trip to a local antique
market will be arranged. Fly to Xi'an in the afternoon. Upon arrival,
transfer to the hotel and enjoy a free evening.
Day 7 Xi'an (Meal: Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
In the morning, discover the unique, world-famous Terracotta Warriors
and Horses Museum first. These are the most significant archeological
excavations of the 20th century and have been regarded as the 8th Wonder
of the World. Over 2,200 years ago, the first emperor of China, Qin Shi
Huang, ordered the construction of an Army of 8,099 Terra Cotta warriors
and horses near his Mausoleum for the purpose of ruling another empire
in the afterlife. It covers an area of 16,300 square metres and is a spectacular
site, not to be missed by any visitor to China. After lunch, visit Big
World Goose Pagoda built in 652 during the Tang Dynasty and a
symbol of the old-line Xian and a holy place for Buddhists, housing ancient
Buddhist relics from India. After enjoying an opulent Chinese Banquet
for dinner, you will be entertained by, the Tang Dynasty Show.
Day 8 Xi'an ¡V Hong Kong (Meal: Breakfast / Lunch)
In the morning, visit the Ming Dynasty City Wall representing
one of the oldest and best-preserved Chinese city walls. Then travel to
the stunning Great Mosque in Xi'an's Muslim quarter which
was first built in the Tang Dynasty and still used by Chinese Muslims
today as a place of worship. The Great Mosque of Xi'an
is almost completely Chinese in its construction and architectural style
having neither domes nor traditional-style minarets. After lunch, transfer
to the airport for the return flight back to Hong Kong and end this fabulous
trip.
