The Organising Committee of World Congress of Veterinary Dermatology (WCVD) invites you to join dermatologists and veterinary practitioners from all over the World for the 6th WCVD in Hong Kong, China, from November 19 to 22, 2008. After almost 20 years of history of the WCVD, the year 2008 will bring us to this epoch-making event in the Far East, in Hong Kong at the cross-roads of Asia.

The World Congresses were initiated by American, Canadian and European specialists in veterinary dermatology and others with a special interest in the field. But there have been exciting developments in veterinary medicine, and especially in veterinary dermatology in recent years in the countries of the Pacific rim, and especially in Australasia and Asia. So it is now fitting that for the first time the Congress will be held in Asia, thus drawing upon expertise from both East and West, and forging ties that will further enable the advancement of our discipline.

Fantastic Hong Kong is known for its cosmopolitan atmosphere that incorporates the best elements of both east and west. It is readily accessible from all countries in Europe and the Americas and has outstanding congress facilities within easy reach of hotels on the waterfront. English is widely spoken and English-speaking colleagues will enjoy an exotic atmosphere but yet with a familiar language.

The State-of-the-art programme, Supporting original studies and Free communications will bring us the most recent advances in clinical and basic research, and two concomitant different clinical programmemes together with workshops will enable us to broaden our knowledge of practical clinical dermatology.
